The guy from Dependable that was out to our house today told me about the carpenter ants where he was planning to caulk. He said to have the exterminator treat the area before he completed the caulking.

Someone from Gladhill Pest Control came to our house in the afternoon and dusted the area inside and out. He said, and I agree, that he was impressed that the worker from Dependable was conscientious enough to put completing the caulking on hold until we had the area treated for the ants. He said most "contractors" would have just finished the caulking to get the job done.

Thank him for us for making us aware of the problem. Tell him he can come out and finish caulking whenever he can.
